From Naihati to Kaohsiung
I’m from Naihati, West Bengal, and I live in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In Bengali, my name is সৌভিক ঘোষ. Today my work spans Taiwan, China, Japan, the United States and India.
How the work grew
-
I co-founded Master Within Foundation. Its work in education and social service is where my story as a founder begins.
-
For my master’s at Adamas University, I studied how electrons reflect at the junction between a metal and a superconductor.
-
I commissioned Purākaash Mk II, bringing optics, tracking and software together for deep-sky imaging from a city rooftop.
In the lab
I work on quantum computing experiments in Taiwan. In the lab, I cool small circuits and measure how they behave.
I also work on theoretical physics, studying how electrons move through small structures and what happens to waves in chains with unusual patterns of coupling.

I write Bengali essays and articles, Hindi dohe, and verse. With Sayak Roy, I’m also writing a Bengali detective series set in contemporary Kolkata.
As a content creator, I use talks, videos and essays to share work that would otherwise stay in a notebook or a conversation.

My Living Ideal is Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra. I’m a ঋত্বিক. Through Bijnan-Vibhuti, I bring Thakur’s philosophy into conversation with modern science.
That history matters to me as a founder, too. Vishwa Vigyan is a Master Within initiative inspired by Thakur’s vision of the Satsang Vishwa Vigyan Kendra. My first milestone is to change the lives of 10,000 people. It began with helping friends and students one at a time.
